A few words from the project Coordinator

We are pleased to introduce the ReSHEALience project, focused on the development of Ultra-High Durability Concrete and the quantification of its durability for structural applications in Extremely Aggressive Exposures (EAE). Ultra High Durability Concrete is a High Performance Concrete whose formulation features functionalizing constituents especially intended at improving the durability of the material under extremely aggressive conditions, providing the material the capacity to convert a localized damage or crack into multiple tiny cracks and also the ability to heal those cracks thus extending the material and structural service life.

During four years, the consortium, consisting of 14 partners located in 8 countries, will work on the concept, design and characterization of materials and structural components and finally to the design, construction and monitoring of pilots to reach TRL6-7 with highly-durable concrete technologies. Promotion of Circular Economy, Blue Growth and Resource Efficiency is the ambitious goal of this H2020 Research-and-Innovation Action project, which is opened to inform and cooperate with other interested consortia and stakeholders.
