The waterproofing system based on the use of crystalline admixtures has been widely employed for more than 40 years worldwide for underground and hydraulic structures. Technologies to be used in new construction (admixtures directly added into the mix design of the concrete) and in retrofitting of existing structures are available, also able to improve the resistance of the concrete manufacts to aggressive agents from underground soli as well as from sea water.
