This project participates in the AMANAC Cluster integrated by R&D EU projects focused on developing advanced materials and nanotechnologies for construction.

The main objectives of AMANAC are:

  • to avoid duplication of work and improve efficiency
  • to provide a forum for problem-solving, harmonisation of methodologies and planning of R&I activities
  • to provide a single voice for discussion with external bodies
  • to facilitate the formation of consensus on standardised topics
  • to allow the transfer of best practices and lessons among cluster community
  • to provide communication assistance and facilitate the transfer of AMANAC cluster of projects’ results to industrial stakeholders, governmental bodies and general public.

New Environmental friendly and Durable conCrete, integrating industrial by-products and hybrid systems, for civil, industrial and offshore applications

The main goal of EnDurCrete Project is to develop a new cost-effective sustainable reinforced concrete for long lasting and added value applications. The concept is based on the integration of novel low-clinker cement including high-value industrial by-products, new nano and micro technologies and hybrid systems ensuring enhanced durability of sustainable concrete structures with high mechanical properties, self-healing and self-monitoring capacities.


Damage Controlled Composite Materials

The objective of DACOMAT is to develop more damage tolerant and damage predictable low cost composite materials in particular aimed for used in large load carrying constructions like bridges, buildings, wind-turbine blades and offshore structures. The developed materials and condition monitoring solutions will provide high tolerance for manufacturing imperfections and high capacity to sustain damages. This will enable large composite structures to be manufactured and maintained at low cost.
