Harbour infrastructure element with crystalline admixtures
The pilot demonstrates a harbour infrastructure element cast with UHDC containing crystalline waterproofing admixtures, validated in the operational environment of a Mediterranean port. At TRL7, the element operates in its final service configuration under real chloride exposure.
The element is compared with a twin element cast in ordinary concrete. Both are monitored for chloride penetration, corrosion potential and crack formation, providing a direct benchmark of the enhanced durability of UHDC.
